Brian Scheffler My goal for this first project was to convey my love of television production on to the viewer. Being present during a live news or sporting event produces adrenaline if thing are hectic. This is why I love TV. I shows my love of TV by incorporating photos and graphics in a collage. I accomplished this by adding actual photos of me in production and satellite trucks that I have worked in before. I balanced my photos by adding an object to each corner and then filling in the middle. I had a little trouble emphasizing what I wanted to stand out. I wanted the pictures of me in the trucks to stand out, but in the beginning the background with all of the small monitors was too dark and colorful. I increased the brightness on the background to make it stand out less. For my repeating symbols I used a "scene-take" board that I created in Adobe Illustrator. I made this a graphic symbol and was able to add it to my timeline several times and change its attributes each time. Not everything is proportionate in my project, but I feel that the size difference in the pictures draws the viewer's eye toward the important parts. I tried to show rhythm by adding the "scene-take" board several times throughout my project. |
